Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
ChangeSafe for Jira (“ChangeSafe”) is provided by 10X Digital. This Privacy Policy explains how ChangeSafe accesses, processes, stores, and protects information when used with Atlassian Jira Cloud.
ChangeSafe is designed as a read-only Jira administration and change-impact analysis application.
2. Information ChangeSafe accesses
To provide its functionality, ChangeSafe may access Jira information available to the authorized Jira administrator, including:
- Jira custom fields and field configuration
- Custom-field contexts and options
- Projects and project categories
- Screens and screen tabs
- Workflows and related configuration
- Filters and dashboards
- Project roles and groups
- Jira issue information required to determine whether a custom field contains stored values
- Jira user and permission information required for authorization and administrative permission checks
ChangeSafe requests only the Jira permissions necessary to provide its supported analysis features.
3. How information is used
Jira information is used only to provide ChangeSafe functionality, including custom-field dependency analysis, stored-value usage analysis, change-impact assessment, planned-action safety checks, reports and evidence presented to the authorized user, and permission and authorization verification.
ChangeSafe does not modify Jira configuration or issue content as part of these analysis functions.
4. Data storage and processing
ChangeSafe is built on Atlassian Forge. ChangeSafe does not operate an external application server or external application database for processing Jira customer data.
ChangeSafe does not intentionally store Jira customer or end-user data outside Atlassian products and services. Application processing is performed using Atlassian Forge and Jira services, together with processing in the user's browser where applicable.
5. External data transfers
ChangeSafe does not intentionally transmit Jira customer data to external servers operated by 10X Digital. ChangeSafe does not use external analytics or advertising services to collect Jira customer data. ChangeSafe does not sell customer or end-user data.
6. Third parties
ChangeSafe relies on Atlassian Jira Cloud and Atlassian Forge to provide its application infrastructure and Jira integration. ChangeSafe does not intentionally disclose Jira customer data to unrelated third-party service providers for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
Atlassian's own processing of information is governed by Atlassian's applicable privacy, security, and contractual terms.
7. Logging
ChangeSafe is designed to avoid intentionally recording Jira issue content or other customer content in application logs. Atlassian Forge may generate technical and operational logs associated with application execution in accordance with Atlassian's platform operation and policies.
8. Data retention
ChangeSafe does not maintain an external customer-data database. Information required for an analysis is processed as necessary to perform the requested operation and provide results to the authorized user.
Where information is retained by Atlassian services as part of Forge or Jira platform operation, retention is governed by the applicable Atlassian platform policies.
9. Security
ChangeSafe uses Atlassian Forge security and authorization mechanisms. ChangeSafe verifies appropriate Jira administrative permissions before performing protected analysis operations.
ChangeSafe follows a least-privilege approach to Jira permissions and does not request Jira write permissions for its read-only analysis functionality. ChangeSafe has been designed to operate without external application data egress.
10. User and administrator control
ChangeSafe operates within the Jira permissions granted to the installed application and the authorized user. A Jira administrator may uninstall ChangeSafe through Atlassian's application-management interface.
Because ChangeSafe does not maintain a separate external customer-data database, there is ordinarily no independently stored ChangeSafe customer dataset requiring deletion following uninstall.
11. Children
ChangeSafe is a business administration application intended for organizational use and is not directed toward children.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
10X Digital may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to ChangeSafe, applicable requirements, or its privacy practices. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page.
